At the adiwasi village

One day our group decided to visit the village located in the Maharashtra. Khandas village is one of most rural Adivasi places in Maharashtra. the village is perched on the hill-top. it is surrounded by hills and forest. it is quite and beautiful place. Peoples
lives in hut on the hill slope. They move through the forest cautiously looking for food. Most of the time drinking water was not available near by them. No electricity looking to the long way.

Adivasi get their food from animals and grass-roots and fruits from tree. Their intimate contact with the jungle gives them a profound knowledge of its bounty.

Adivasis are very poor and simple. They lives more on their legs in the forest than in their hut. They are truthful and honest. they are fond of dance and music. Music and dance are form an integral part of their cultural life. Boy's adorn their head-gears with feathers and girls cover their whole with red and white flowers. and their traditional dance begins. They sing and dance to the rhythm of the dholakas. While dancing they are little aware of the world around them.

Transportation and communication facilities are not easily available for them which make their life more critical. Government shows how they are trying for the welfare of adivasis. But this effort are short but adivasis are to behind the world.

Not only the transportation but educational facilities are also in their approach. And where they are in approach adivasi children not enjoying. We must restructure all this and take the education to their door.

As their music and dance differ from the world their art also have their own origin. They make beautiful articals from jungle wood, leaves, etc. Their musical instument aso differ from us.

I think we and our government jointly provide more attention towards them to bring them in the flow of humanity.
