Story for Kids : Ramrao and Shamrao

Farmer Ramrao went to market to sell the produce of his field. He had many vegetable with him. By the evening he sold all of them. He got the good price. So he had plenty of money with him at the end. He count all the rupees, thread those and put in his pocket of coat. Then he mounted his horse to return home. 


Shamrao is the another farmer who also came to the market regularly to sell his produced. Both are from different village but they recognize each other by face. When Ramrao reached on the gate of market Shamrao stopped his and said, " Ramrao one of the shoes of your horse is a bit loose. Get you fix it before you proceed. It may come off on the way." 

But Ramrao ignored his advice and said," It's not very bad yet. It will be easily hold till i reach home. I ahall get it fixed tomorrow. I must hurry up now to get out of the jungle before the Sun goes down." 

" Ramrao it will take a very little time. Please do it just now." Shamrao said. 

" No, no. Thanks for your advice. I should not wait now." Said Ramrao and rode away. 

But the loose shoe trouble the horse. The poor animal soon began to limp. It moved moved very slowly and the farmer was worried. The jungle was just started and Sun get behind the mountain. Some thieves were hiding there on the way. When they saw Ramrao and his limping horse they were very happy. One of them said, " That's iur man." 

" His horse is limping badly and he cannot escape now."  another one said. 

" He is returning from market and should have lot of money with him." third one said. 

" Today is very lucky day for us." First one said. 

During the time Ramrao reached near to them. Suddenly they all together jumped on Ramrao. They attacked him. Robbed all his money. Ramrao shouted, requested. But no way. The thieves went away with all his money. 

" I should not ignore the advice of Shamrao. I must fixed the shoes properly at the gate of market." Ramrao said sadly and walked towards the home with limping horse and empty pocket.
